About this blog
TechMusings is a one-person blog about backend engineering, self-hosting, and the unglamorous decisions that make a system pleasant to maintain two years later. No sponsored posts, no newsletter pop-ups, no analytics script tracking how far you scrolled.
I write mostly about things I've broken and eventually fixed: deploy pipelines, home lab reliability, and the tradeoffs behind "boring" infrastructure choices. Posts go up roughly every two weeks, whenever something is worth the write-up.
A few things this blog is not: a tutorial mill, a tool review site, or up to date on whatever framework is trending this month. It's closer to a public engineering notebook.
- 12+ years writing backend systems, mostly Python and Go
- Currently running everything behind a single Caddy instance
- Believes strongly in boring, well-understood infrastructure
